In my years of running an agency, I’ve experimented with a plethora of project management tools. From Trello to Wrike, we’ve tried them all. While we had a soft spot for Wrike, our team, for some reason, found it challenging to adapt to. After years of trying, we decided to switch gears. Many members of our mentor community, Seven Figure Agency, recommended ClickUp. With a new project manager on board, we thought it would be the perfect time to start afresh with a tool that had a wealth of resources.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve been using ClickUp since March. In between, we’ve seen the announcement of ClickUp 3.0, and we’re buzzing with excitement for its launch in just two weeks! The migration to ClickUp was surprisingly smooth, and our team quickly got the hang of it. We now have dashboards, weekly workload charts backed by time tracking, and a team that’s committed to keeping everything up-to-date. Our mantra? If it’s not in ClickUp, it doesn’t exist.
One feature that initially had me scratching my head was ClickUp’s AI. At first, I wasn’t sure of its practical application and found myself resorting to ChatGPT, copying and pasting when needed. However, as time went on, my team began to see its value. They appreciated the ability to generate rich outlines directly within ClickUp, providing context without the need to jump between platforms. So, hats off to ClickUp for that innovative feature!
However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. We’ve noticed that the interface can be a tad slow at times. But we’re optimistic that ClickUp 3.0 will address this minor hiccup.
We also took the plunge and integrated ClickUp with AgencyPortal. With every aspect of our business now having time estimates and actual time spent applied, we have a clearer picture of everyone’s workload and deadlines. Even tickets and projects initiated through our ticketing system are in sync with ClickUp, ensuring comprehensive time logs are available in one centralized report.
